#VendorGradeScore

Methodology

Every vendor is scored from its own public status feed — the same source, the same window (60 days), for all vendors. No private data, no vendor input, no black box.

The score starts at 100 and subtracts capped penalties: weighted downtime (up to 50), critical outages (up to 20), slow recovery / MTTR (up to 15), and incident frequency (up to 15). Downtime is impact-weighted: a full outage counts fully, a major degradation 75%, a minor issue 25%.

Each incident’s counted duration is capped by severity (critical 48h, major 24h, minor 8h) so a vendor that transparently logs every advisory isn’t penalized versus an opaque one that closes tickets quietly. This is deliberately conservative: it understates rather than inflates downtime.

144 catalog vendors could not be scored this window (status feed unreachable) and are excluded rather than guessed.

Frequently asked

Which SaaS or cloud vendor is the most reliable right now?

Rankings are computed live from each vendor's public status feed; see the leaderboard for the current leader.

How is the reliability score calculated?

Each vendor starts at 100 and loses capped penalties for weighted downtime (up to 50), critical outages (up to 20), slow recovery (up to 15), and incident frequency (up to 15), computed over a 60-day window from its public status feed. Per-incident duration is capped by severity so transparent vendors aren't penalized.

How often are the reliability rankings updated?

The rankings are recomputed from the live status sweep and refresh every 6 hours.
