CircleCI SLA credit guide
What CircleCI's own agreement actually says about availability: no uptime percentage, no credit schedule and no claim process, so there is nothing to file for a bad month — plus where a service level for CircleCI would live if you have one, and the outage record Ontracko keeps regardless.
What SLA credit are you owed when CircleCI is down?
CircleCI publishes NO availability SLA at all — no uptime percentage, no credit schedule and no claim process — so there is nothing to file for a bad month, and any "CircleCI uptime guarantee" figure circulating elsewhere did not come from CircleCI's own terms. If you have a service level with CircleCI, it lives in your own Order Form or negotiated agreement — that document, not a public page, is where the commitment and any remedy actually are. Ontracko monitors CircleCI for free either way and keeps the dated outage record, which is what a renewal conversation runs on. One more thing about the deadline, because CircleCI not stating one is not the same as there being none: file promptly anyway. A contract can carry a limitation period nobody printed, evidence ages badly, and the status-page record a claim is built on is easiest to defend while it is fresh. If Ontracko shows a date against a CircleCI claim, that date is our own monitoring reminder rather than anything CircleCI set — we will never let it expire a claim, and you should never quote it to CircleCI as their window.

Credit tiers by service
No filable service credit exists for CircleCI (Software as a Service Agreement — no availability SLA published) under the standard agreement — not a tier table gap, a genuine zero. NO SERVICE CREDIT EXISTS, AND THE AGREEMENT FORECLOSES ONE IN TERMS: CircleCI's Software as a Service Agreement (Last Updated April 7, 2026) states that "All amounts paid or payable are non-refundable, non-cancelable and non-creditable" — so there is no credit mechanism to invoke and nothing to file. THERE IS ALSO NO PERCENTAGE: the only availability language is that CircleCI "will use commercially reasonable efforts to make the Services available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week", except for planned maintenance and Force Majeure. That is a best-efforts standard with no number attached; the 99.9 stored in slaCommitment above is the generic monitoring default carried over so scoring still runs, NOT a CircleCI commitment, and must never be presented as one. THE DECOY IS WELL-NAMED AND WILL FOOL PEOPLE: support.circleci.com publishes a page literally titled "Support Plans and SLAs", but those SLAs are support RESPONSE times by plan — they contain no uptime commitment and no credit table. Do not cite it as an availability SLA. The only monetary provision touching service failure is the liability cap: the greater of the fees paid or payable in the six months preceding the event, or US$100. If a customer believes a credit is owed, the only place a remedy could live is a negotiated Order Form or enterprise addendum — unpublished, and not verifiable from here. The catalog blurb for CircleCI previously read "99.9% uptime target" and has been corrected, because no such target is published.
Is there a CircleCI SLA credit to file?
No — there is nothing to file. CircleCI’s standard agreement doesn’t pay a per-incident service credit, so filing a claim would go nowhere. Frequently asked
What is CircleCI's SLA uptime commitment?
CircleCI does not publish one. Its own agreement states no uptime percentage anywhere, so there is no commitment to quote — any figure attributed to CircleCI elsewhere did not come from CircleCI's terms. If you hold a negotiated Order Form, any availability commitment you have lives there.
Does CircleCI pay an SLA service credit?
No — and there is no commitment behind it either. CircleCI's published agreement states no uptime percentage and provides no service credit, so there is no figure to miss and nothing to file for a bad month. If you have a service level with CircleCI, it lives in your own Order Form or negotiated agreement — that document, not a public page, is where any commitment and any remedy would be. Does Ontracko file CircleCI SLA credit claims for me?
No — CircleCI's standard agreement has no filable service credit, so Ontracko does not draft claims for it. Ontracko still monitors CircleCI for free and tracks the uptime record, which is useful leverage at renewal.
