1Password SLA credit guide
What 1Password's own agreement actually says about availability: no uptime percentage, no credit schedule and no claim process, so there is nothing to file for a bad month — plus where a service level for 1Password would live if you have one, and the outage record Ontracko keeps regardless.
What SLA credit are you owed when 1Password is down?
1Password publishes NO availability SLA at all — no uptime percentage, no credit schedule and no claim process — so there is nothing to file for a bad month, and any "1Password uptime guarantee" figure circulating elsewhere did not come from 1Password's own terms. If you have a service level with 1Password, it lives in your own Order Form or negotiated agreement — that document, not a public page, is where the commitment and any remedy actually are. Ontracko monitors 1Password for free either way and keeps the dated outage record, which is what a renewal conversation runs on. One more thing about the deadline, because 1Password not stating one is not the same as there being none: file promptly anyway. A contract can carry a limitation period nobody printed, evidence ages badly, and the status-page record a claim is built on is easiest to defend while it is fresh. If Ontracko shows a date against a 1Password claim, that date is our own monitoring reminder rather than anything 1Password set — we will never let it expire a claim, and you should never quote it to 1Password as their window.

Credit tiers by service
No filable service credit exists for 1Password (Device Trust and core platform — no availability SLA published) under the standard agreement — not a tier table gap, a genuine zero. NO SLA GOVERNS THE SERVICES ONTRACKO MONITORS FOR 1PASSWORD, AND THERE IS A DECOY THAT SAYS OTHERWISE. What we monitor is the core 1Password / Device Trust platform — Device Trust Authentication Service, Device Trust Checks Server, Device Trust Portal, Device Trust API, User & Group Provisioning and Sign in. 1password.com/legal/sla is a HARD 404 and no document in the Legal Center states an availability commitment for any of those. ⚠️ THE DECOY IS A REAL SLA FOR A DIFFERENT PRODUCT: 1Password's Legal Center DOES list a "Service Level Agreement", it lives at 1password.com/legal/saas-manager/service-level-agreement, and the Legal Center's own one-line description says it "Describes service availability commitments and applicable service credits FOR THE TRELICA SERVICE." The document's own text says "Trelica provides a 99.9% uptime commitment" (Effective Date: December 2nd 2020). Trelica — sold as 1Password SaaS Manager — is a SEPARATE, ACQUIRED PRODUCT and it is not in this catalog. ITS TERMS ARE RECORDED HERE ONLY SO NOBODY RE-DERIVES THEM ONTO THE WRONG PRODUCT, and they apply to Trelica and to nothing else: 99.9% uptime; Service Credit = (pro-rated Subscription fees per minute x minutes of Service Outage) x 5; the request must be made no later than 30 days after the last day of the month in which the outage occurred; credits are capped at 20% of that month's total pro-rated Subscription Fees; planned maintenance (2 hours per month, 7 days' notice) and unplanned maintenance (1 hour per month, 6 hours' notice) are excluded. ATTACHING THAT 99.9% — OR THAT 5x MULTIPLIER, OR THAT 30-DAY WINDOW — TO DEVICE TRUST OR TO SIGN IN WOULD BE FILING A CLAIM UNDER A SIBLING PRODUCT'S AGREEMENT, which is exactly the defect commit c12bc60 fixed for Cloudflare Workers KV: a same-vendor, different-document figure scored against a service the document does not cover. No Trelica profile is written and none should be: SaaS Manager is not a monitored vendor here, and a profile for it would put the decoy one field away from the services it does not govern. The 99.9 stored in slaCommitment above is Ontracko's generic monitoring default carried over so scoring still runs; it is NOT a 1Password commitment for these services. If a customer believes an availability commitment applies to Device Trust, the only place one could live is their own Order Form or enterprise agreement — unpublished, and not verifiable from here.
Is there a 1Password SLA credit to file?
No — there is nothing to file. 1Password’s standard agreement doesn’t pay a per-incident service credit, so filing a claim would go nowhere. ⚠️ THE DECOY IS A REAL SLA FOR A DIFFERENT PRODUCT: 1Password's Legal Center DOES list a "Service Level Agreement", it lives at 1password.com/legal/saas-manager/service-level-agreement, and the Legal Center's own one-line description says it "Describes service availability commitments and applicable service credits FOR THE TRELICA SERVICE." Ontracko still tracks 1Password’s uptime record for free, which is real leverage in a renewal conversation even without a claimable credit.
Frequently asked
What is 1Password's SLA uptime commitment?
1Password does not publish one. Its own agreement states no uptime percentage anywhere, so there is no commitment to quote — any figure attributed to 1Password elsewhere did not come from 1Password's terms. If you hold a negotiated Order Form, any availability commitment you have lives there.
Does 1Password pay an SLA service credit?
No — and there is no commitment behind it either. 1Password's published agreement states no uptime percentage and provides no service credit, so there is no figure to miss and nothing to file for a bad month. If you have a service level with 1Password, it lives in your own Order Form or negotiated agreement — that document, not a public page, is where any commitment and any remedy would be. Does Ontracko file 1Password SLA credit claims for me?
No — 1Password's standard agreement has no filable service credit, so Ontracko does not draft claims for it. Ontracko still monitors 1Password for free and tracks the uptime record, which is useful leverage at renewal.
