Segment SLA credit guide
Segment does commit to an uptime percentage — and pays no service credit for missing it. What this page carries is the 99.99% monthly uptime commitment itself, why there is nothing to file against it, what Segment's agreement provides instead, and the dated outage record that is your leverage at renewal.
What SLA credit are you owed when Segment is down?
Segment's standard agreement pays NO filable SLA service credit for missing its 99.99% monthly uptime commitment. Where agreements in this class offer anything at all it is a termination or refund right after repeated consecutive misses — never money for a single bad month — and some offer nothing even then, so read the exclusions below and your own order form. Ontracko still monitors Segment for free (useful renewal leverage) but does not draft credit claims for it, so we won't tell you otherwise. One more thing about the deadline, because Segment not stating one is not the same as there being none: file promptly anyway. A contract can carry a limitation period nobody printed, evidence ages badly, and the status-page record a claim is built on is easiest to defend while it is fresh. If Ontracko shows a date against a Segment claim, that date is our own monitoring reminder rather than anything Segment set — we will never let it expire a claim, and you should never quote it to Segment as their window.

Credit tiers by service
No filable service credit exists for Twilio Segment (Data Ingestion API) under the standard agreement — not a tier table gap, a genuine zero. NO filable service credit. The Data Ingestion API SLA's sole remedy is a Special Termination Right (must be exercised within 30 days of reasonably becoming aware of the failure) after 2 consecutive non-compliant months or 3-of-6 consecutive months — not a per-incident credit. Kept monitorable as renewal/termination leverage only; do not draft a claim.
Is there a Segment SLA credit to file?
No — there is nothing to file. Segment’s standard agreement doesn’t pay a per-incident service credit, so filing a claim would go nowhere. NO filable service credit. The Data Ingestion API SLA's sole remedy is a Special Termination Right (must be exercised within 30 days of reasonably becoming aware of the failure) after 2 consecutive non-compliant months or 3-of-6 consecutive months — not a per-incident credit. Ontracko still tracks Segment’s uptime record for free, which is real leverage in a renewal conversation even without a claimable credit.
