Vercel SLA credit guide

What Vercel owes you when it misses its uptime commitment — the credit tiers, the filing deadline, how to file, and a calculator to estimate your credit.

What SLA credit are you owed when Vercel is down?

When Vercel (Enterprise SLA) falls below its 99.99% uptime commitment, you're owed an SLA service credit worth 10%–50% of the affected service's monthly spend — larger the further uptime fell — claimable within 30 days of incident resolution. It's a credit toward a future invoice, not a cash refund.

This is Vercel's ENTERPRISE SLA, tied to an Order Form — self-serve Hobby/Pro customers very likely have no enforceable SLA. (The Enterprise gate is stated by the document title and Vercel's Enterprise Terms rather than by an explicit sentence inside the SLA itself — confirm against the customer's contract before filing.) Log files showing the downtime are an EXPLICIT condition of the claim. Aggregate credits capped at 50% of the month's fees. ⚠️ THE TIER TABLE'S UPPER BOUNDS ARE INCLUSIVE AND ITS GAPS ARE REAL, and the two facts are separate. The document writes its bands as "99.1% to 99.98%" and "95% to 99%", so EXACTLY 99.98% pays 10% and EXACTLY 99.00% pays 25% — both are below the 99.99% commitment and both are priced. What the table genuinely does not address is the STRICTLY-BETWEEN intervals (99.0%, 99.1%) and (99.98%, 99.99%): a month landing inside either is a breach Vercel's own document sets no percentage for. Reproduced faithfully rather than smoothed over — do not read a credit into either interval without the customer's Order Form.

How to file a Vercel SLA credit claim

Portal: Vercel (Enterprise support channel) ↗

  1. ⚠️ ELIGIBILITY FIRST: the document is Vercel’s ENTERPRISE Service Level Agreement, tied to an Order Form. Self-serve Hobby and Pro plans are very unlikely to have an enforceable SLA — confirm you are on an Enterprise contract that references it before claiming.
  2. Notify Vercel in writing within 30 days from the time you become eligible to receive a Credit — route it through your named Enterprise account/support contact (the SLA says ‘in writing’ and names no public form).
  3. You must provide log files showing the Unscheduled Downtime and the date and time it occurred — an explicit condition, so gather logs before you write.
  4. Credit tiers: 10% (99.1% to 99.98%), 25% (95% to 99%), 50% (below 95%), against a 99.99% commitment.
  5. Aggregate credits in a single billing month cannot exceed 50% of the amount due for that month.
  6. The SLA excludes platform components that do not serve customer content — the API and CLI are named examples — and excluded beta products.

  • •Date and time the downtime occurred

Common exclusions

  • •Beta-state products
  • •Non-Enterprise self-serve plans
